A Straighter Smile, a More Stunning You
Dr. Jay Hazen can straighten your teeth and reward you with a beautiful smile using Invisalign® aligners at our Madison office. These transparent trays are a great alternative to traditional orthodontics as they eliminate the hassle of metal wires and brackets. The smooth, comfortable plastic aligners won’t irritate your cheeks and gums the way braces would. If you want to straighten your smile but are hesitant to go to a traditional orthodontist, contact Dentistry For Madison today to see what Invisalign® can do for you.
Understanding The Procedure
Creating a detailed, individualized care plan is the first and most important step of your Invisalign® treatment. During your consultation, we will discuss your treatment goals, address your concerns, and answer any questions you may have. We will take X-rays and impressions of your teeth which will be used to make a 3-D photograph, illustrating your detailed treatment plan. Unique to every individual, Invisalign® treatment usually spans the length of a year for adults, but evidence of improvement will be obvious very early on.
Based on your treatment plan, a series of custom-fit aligners will be designed specifically for your smile. These clear aligners are to be worn throughout the day for 20 to 22 hours, but can be removed for meals and to brush and floss your teeth. You will change to a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, and your teeth will gradually begin to shift toward their optimal position. We will have you attend checkups every six weeks to assess the progress of your smile.
Dentistry For Madison wants to share with you the great number of advantages of Invisalign® treatment. Some of the benefits include:
- Practically invisible – Invisalign® allows you to improve the aesthetics of your smile without drawing attention to a mouthful of metal. Because traditional braces are often associated with adolescence, the transparency of Invisalign® is especially appealing to adults.
- Entirely removable – It is advised that Invisalign® be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day, but because of the aligners can easily be taken in and out, eating, brushing your teeth, and flossing will be just as easy as they were before treatment.
- Pain-free – Traditional braces are known to cause damage to your gums and lips, as the wires can poke, cut, and irritate your mouth. The smooth plastic Invisalign® trays are easy on the soft tissues of your mouth.
- Unrestricted diet – Metal braces can be damaged by foods such as crunchy fruits and vegetables, chewy candies, and hard crusts. Because you can remove Invisalign® for mealtime, you can eat whatever you want without worry.
